SSC latest recruitment notification and online applicaton form available

Staff Selection Commission Southern Region invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment of Constables in Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Female candidate will be considered for posts earmarked for them in different CAPFs.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or Xth class pass from a recognized board/ University

Age limit (as on 1 August 2012): Between 18 and 23 Years

Pay scale: Pay Band 1, Rs 5200 - 20200; Grade Pay Rs 2000 per month

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ Women candidate and for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 50. The fee is payable through CRF Stamp or SBI Challan or on-line payment through account with the State Bank of India.

Selection Procedure

The candidate's overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests.

    1. Physical Standard Test (PST)
    2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
    3. Written exam (100 marks)

    a) General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 marks)

    b) General Knowledge & General Awareness (25 marks)

    c) Elementary Mathematics (25 marks)

    d) English/ Hindi (25 marks)
    4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications complete in all respects in the prescribed performa in the prescribed format online or on paper. Candidates desirous of submitting on line applications should retain their registration number assigned to them on line for correspondence with the commission. They are not required to submit print outs of their application to the commission.

Candidates applying offline should submit their application to the concerned Regional Office/ Sub Regional Offices of the Commission in the usual manner after completing other formalities.

election Commission (SSC) recruits for the lower grade posts in the government of India’s various offices, secretariat, Parliament, ministries, commissions to positions such as lower division clerks, graduate level auditors, junior accountants, upper division clerks (UDC), divisional accountants, inspectors of income tax/central excise, sub-inspectors in central police organizations and many other posts.

The SSC recruits to fill positions under Group B non gazette and non technical group C non gazette positions in the ministries, departments and subordinate offices of the govt. of India, the Comptroller and Auditor General and Accountant General offices, election commission and central vigilance Commission offices. The SSC also selects candidates by way of promotions from Group D categories to the positions the recruitment for which it has jurisdiction, promotion within the span of grade to which it has recruiting powers, etc.


Staff Selection Commission or SSC was established by the name as Subordinate Services Commission on 4th November 1975 by the Government of India in the department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. It make recruitment to group B positions. Its head quarter is at New Delhi and it also has 7 regional offices situated at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Allahabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Guwahati.

A vacancy notification has been published in the official website of SSC for the recruitment of 42422 constables [ GD ] for both male and female candidates. These positions of constables are for Border Security Force ( BSF ), Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF ), Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF ), Sashastra Seema Bal ( SSB ), Assam Rifles and Indo Tibetan Border Police Force ( ITBP ).
These vacancies are under the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200/- with Rs. 2000/- as grade pay. Interested candidates can apply latest by 4th January 2012 and written exam will be on 22nd April 2012.

A NEW vacancy notification is for the recruitment of 742 Junior Engineers in the discipline of Civil, Electrical, Quantitative Surveying & Contracts under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- with GP Rs.4200/-. Vacancies are for the CPWD, CWC and MES. Last date to apply is 10th February 2012.
Age limit: Candidates age should be between 18-27 years.
Qualification: Candidates should posses 3 years of diploma in the relevant discipline.

Selection will be through written test and interview. Written test will be divided in 2 parts-paper I and paper II. Paper I will be of objective type while Paper II will be of conventional type. Written examination is going to be held on 8th April 2012 at the centres situated at Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Allahabad, Guwahati, Bangaluru, Raipur and Chandigarh. And after this, shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
